open letter to Nigerian men about spending money or projecting cash to the women they are interested in by oro Olumofin pens
Letter to Nigerian men. "Don't start with spending money or projecting cash or gifts to a lady you are interested in"
the Love doctor wrote:
Based on Psychological principles such as "Primacy rule", & "Learning Theories", the first stimulus you present in an experiment if pleasurable must be repeated or continued if you want to keep your test subjects interests remaining intact. I.e if you start with something; that's what you will be remembered for and also you must continue it because that's the basis Or foundation of your relationship.
This being said, a lot of men today are guilty of throwing money, gifts, iPhone, bags, shoes, perfumes first at women before even forming any " intellectual or mind connection" with their love interest.
These same men later complain that ladies ask them for money too much, these ladies present them with a reservoir of requests & when there's no money or gifts there's nothing to talk about. FRIENDSHIP SHOULD COME FIRST BEFORE SPENDING MONEY.
The major problem with our generation regarding relationships is that " sex " is now synonymous with "money". Men believe that if they don't spend money or show off their assets, house, cars ladies won't pay them any attention which is TRUE and also ladies because of peer pressure, unavailability of jobs, recession mentality, hardships believe that money shows love & caring.
Being broke to some ladies is a crime which warrants insults or derogatory names. As a result, you see ladies make references like I just met this guy " he drives a benz, he bought me an iPad, he lives In Asokoro Abuja OMG! He's a nice guy. How do you know he's a nice guy??? when you never properly courted him. Materialism and Money have take over in our generation in relationships.
Fellas, don't spend 1 kobo on her first, take her on dates, play snake and ladder, play ludo with her, take her to have drinks or movies. Don't start with materialistic things. Let's put a stop to Money before Love. Love should come before money..

Daddy Freeze says Davido's prayer is 1 million times more christian than Adeboye’s prayer'
Nigerian popstar Davido almost broke the internet yesterday, October 28, when he shared a prayer line on social media .
'I declare into your life! Where you ought to be highly placed, you will not be replaced there. Your seat of glory will not be empty. You will sit gloriously to eat the fruit of your labour. Your land will not fail to bear fruits in its season', Davido Tweeted.
In reaction, controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze said the singer's prayer is more viable that of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, which was also shared on social media and centered on suspension of protocols, rules and criteria in order to be promoted.
“Father, let all protocols, rules and criteria be suspended, overlooked and overruled, as you did to Joseph, in order for me to be promoted, in Jesus name.” pastor Adeboye's prayer read
Taking to Instagram to compare both prayers, Freeze wrote;
'this as a prayer by Davido is 1 million times more Christian than Adeboye’s prayer and in line with true Christianity, which preaches faith combined with works. A true Christian should therefore say AMEN to Davido’s prayer and GOD FORBID to adeboye’s prayer for Nigeria to move forward as a nation'.
See Freeze's full post below.
Dear pastor Adeboye, the leader of the FreeNation in Christ online church greets you and brings glad tidings. Prayers like yours are what put Nigeria in the quagmire that we are currently in.
Unqualified people who are ‘favored’ are in positions of leadership in churches, mosques and in the political and economic sectors; the result is 94 million people in extreme poverty, more than double the combined number of people in China and India in poverty.
We need to disabuse our minds and realize that in Christianity David and Goliath have EXACTLY the same grace and the only ‘unmerited favor’ a Christian receives, is the death of Christ on the cross to pay our debt once and for all time. he wrote

Leicester City’s late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s generous donations to children’s health care are to be honoured by having his name attached to the intensive care units at the local hospital, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.
Vichai — who was killed along with four others in a helicopter crash shortly after taking off from Leicester’s Stadium in October last year — made several donations including £2 million ($2.6 million) toward Leicester Hospitals Charity’s Children’s Hospital Appeal following the club’s historic Premier League title win in 2016.
“Leicester Hospitals Charity has confirmed that both the Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Leicester Royal Infirmary will be designated ‘The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Children’s Intensive Care Unit’, in honour of the late Chairman,” read a statement from the club.
The new Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Children’s Intensive Care Units will be consolidated at the Leicester Royal Infirmary’s Kensington Building as part of an ambitious plan to create the East Midlands’s first dedicated children’s hospital where all children’s services will be located under one roof, separate from adult services.”
Leicester City Vice Chairman Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha, son of Vichai, said it was a great honour for his family.
“This is a very proud moment for my family,” said Apichet.

Donald Trump explains why he didn't inform House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in advance of US military raid on Al-Baghdadi
On Sunday, Pelosi, who last month launched an impeachment inquiry on the US president, claimed Trump told the Russian government of plans to kill Baghdadi buy didn't inform her or her colleagues while Adam Schiff appeared on ABC network to reveal he wasn't told of plans to risk US military lives on foreign soil but he acknowledged Baghdadi's death is a win for America and the world.
It is customary for US presidents to inform congressional leaders before using US military power on foreign soil, but Trump has revealed he didn't inform them because he didn't want to harm US soldiers if the operation is leaked out to the media.
According to Trump, Washington is now the home of media leaks, and he wanted to be sure that US military had left the ground after killing Baghdadi before informing congressional leaders.
"No, I didn't do that,' Trump said when a reporter Monday queried if he had shared plans of the raid with the House Speaker before it was carried out.
'I wanted to make sure this was kept secret. I didn't want to have men lost, and women. I don't want to have people lost,' the president added, claiming he told no one outside the circle of those involved in approving and organizing the operation.
In the early hours of Sunday morning –– U.S. Special Operations carried out a mission in Syria that resulted in the death of al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS. Al-Baghdadi while being pursued by military dogs, detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and three of his children, when he was cornered by U.S. forces at his village.
Trump in a photo of the situation room posted online was flanked by National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, Vice President Mike Pence, Trump, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Army General Mark Milley and Brig. General Marcus Evans while the Baghdadi operation occured.
"We have notified some, others are being notified now as I speak,' Trump told the room of reporters. 'We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like I've never seen before.'
'There is no country in the world that leaks like we do. And Washington is a leaking machine and I told my people, we will not notify them until the – our great people are out. Not just in, but out,' Trump asserted. 'I don't want to have them greeted with fire power like you wouldn't believe. So we were able to get in and it was top secret. It was kept, there were no leaks or no nothing. The only people that knew were the few people I dealt with.'
Trump also admitted he took permission from Russia to use their airspace but he never let them know the specifics but Adam Schiff said that letting Democrats and Republicans in congress aware of such an attack is necessary incase something goes wrong or the Russians double-cross the US.
Russia treated us great, they opened up. We had to fly over certain Russia areas – Russia-held areas. Russia was great. Iraq was excellent. We really had great cooperation, and you have to understand, they didn't know what we were doing and where we were going exactly,' Trump said. 'But the ISIS fighters are hated as much by Russia and some of these other countries as they are by us.'
'We spoke to the Russian, we told them, 'We're coming in.' And they said, 'Thank you for telling us.' They were very good,' Trump said
"Had this escalated, had something gone wrong, had we gotten into a fire fight with the Russians, it's to the administration's advantage to be able to say, 'We informed Congress we were going in, they were aware of the risks, we at least gave them the chance to provide feedback. That wasn't done here. I think that's a mistake,' Schiff said to ABC news.
US President Donald Trump has revealed the picture of the dog that chased ISIS leader
US President Donald Trump has revealed the picture of the dog that chased ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into the dead-end tunnel, where he detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and three children.
President Trump did not however name the military dog or the breed. The dog was wounded in the blast but is recovering, military sources said.
Trump tweeted: “We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!”
The AFP suggested that the unnamed dog could be a Belgian Malinois, a breed favoured by the US military, which chased Baghdadi into a tunnel under the complex and cornered him before he detonated his suicide vest.

Deji Adeyanju petitions US govt, seeks visa ban for Cross Rivers state governor, Ben Ayade
Deji Adeyanju, leader of civil society organisation, Concerned Nigerians, has asked the United States Embassy in Nigeria to impose visa ban on Cross River State governor, Ben Ayade, over the illegal arrest and detention of Nigerian journalists, Agba Jalingo and Joseph Odok.
In a letter addressed to the embassy and signed by Adeyanju, the group said it believes that the illegal arrest and detention of Jalingo and Odok shouldn’t happen in a democracy. Both journalist have been in detention for allegedly writing articles against the governor.
Part of the petition letter signed by Deji Adeyanju reads
“This trend of despotism without consequences will only aggravate the worsening human rights condition in the country. We write to call the attention of the United States Embassy in Nigeria to the unabashed clampdown on press freedom and freedom of expression in Cross River State.Governor Ben Ayade has declared war on press freedom and free speech in the state by randomly harassing, arresting and incarcerating activists and journalists on fallacious charges to abet his repression and persecution agenda.“We therefore beseech you to please look into these human rights violations going on in Cross River State and impose visa restrictions on Governor Ayade and all members of his family.“We trust that the United States Government will demonstrate to Nigerians, once again, as was done to those that undermined Nigeria’s electoral and democratic process in the 2019 general elections, that it is strongly opposed to human rights violations, acts of injustice and undemocratic practices by persons in positions of power in Nigeria.”
The group in another petition to the National Human Rights Commission, urged the agency to commence investigation into the growing clampdown on press freedom and freedom of expression in Cross River State.

sex for grades: BBC journalist who went undercover to expose lecturers begins receiving death threats
Kiki Mordi, the BBC journalist who went undercover to expose university lecturers guilty of sex for grades, has started receiving death threats from people angry about the exposé.
Kiki, who said she was herself a victim of sexual harassment in the university and didn't graduate, said on Monday that the project was inspired by her personal story.
She revealed that she has begun receiving threats following the investigation, which saw her and other undercover female journalists secretly filming randy lecturers in Unilag and University of Ghana as they used their positions to demand sex from young ladies in order to favour them academically. However, she added that she is not bothered by those threats because the BBC takes the security of employees very seriously.
She told Sahara Reporters: "I have received subtle threats since this work was completed but I am not bothered because the BBC takes the security of employees seriously.
"Before embarking on this project, the team prayed a lot and also sang because it helped to calm the nerves.
"But I had to go through the trainings I received over and over again because I wanted to get it right.
"The bulk of the ritual I performed were reading, research and preparation.
"The biggest goal of this work was to be louder than the aggressor because sexual harassment is very loud. I wanted it to be silenced.
"I am happy that a lot is changing already since the documentary was release and I can confirm to you that one of the lecturers at the University of Lagos caught sexually harassing a prospective student has been dismissed by the institution.
"I believe it doesn’t stop there until there is a conviction. We have to break that culture of impunity."
